Use a Spam Blocker Utility to attack Junk Email Head-onIn recent years commercial email has hit absolutely ridiculous levels. When you research a spam blocker utility, there are a few things to keep in mind. It needs to have an email filter system that can deal with POP3 mail accounts (these are not Hotmail, Yahoo mail or other web-mail accounts. You will also want to be able to monitor and filter the junk email from different accounts automatically. You also want very flexible filtering. Of course you also want it to be intuitive and easy-to-use. Most decent spam blocker utilities come with a set of filters which deal with most common situations. You should be able to add to this list easily when you encounter new mail you want to block. Being able to filter by email address, domain, file extensions, content and other criteria is essential.
